Bioprepare ‘s Mac Conkey plates are a nutrient medium for the isolation of Enterobacteriaceae. Gram(-) negative enterobacteria that ferment lactose produce red or pink colonies. Bile salts No. 3 and crystal violet inhibit the growth of gram(+) positive granules. The neutral red indicator changes color with the breakdown of lactose. The package includes 10 pieces of 90mm and leaves at 6-12?C.
